20:46 TheDragonRider talk contribs replied to a comment on the article A Shaper of Starved Culture(The issue is "within London's tastes" generally isn't a good thing, as seen with the Rubberies and Clay Men. Despite being much better, there is still very much fantasy racism within the world, and when applying that to a rather colonial culture... it doesn't spell a recipe for a more charitable interpretation.)

18:26 Anonimus35 talk contribs replied to a comment on the article A Shaper of Starved Culture(Maybe the text is not that malevolent? Perhaps it only refers to the voluntary cultural exchange between the Starved delegation who chose to stay in London. Changes such as styling one's facial-fingers into a trendy moustache, relinquishing their spare limbs for scaling dangerous stalactites in favour of a leaner constitution, or altering their hand-shape to better fit a pen, a gun, a journal, a harpoon, a Crooked-Cross or all five at once. More generous explanations exist, let us not take th...)

Our characters have some definable traits that are consistent, but overall our decisions are the ones that influence the way they think, act, and communicate. A lot of actions end up being purely for flavor and roleplaying purposes because of that, such as the items in the Making Your Name stories. Your Londoner (who may not even be from Britain) doesn't need to view this in a good light. Not everyone needs to believe that outrigh...)

01:51 66.44.252.167 talk replied to a comment on the article A Shaper of Starved Culture(While I don't like it either, there is something I believe we should take into account when reading it. Our characters are Londoners through and through, and a great deal very likely view British culture as the pinnacle of human culture. Starved Men becoming more like Londoners, despite how we in the modern day see it for what it is, the destruction of a culture to fit the narrow tastes of the elite and "normal", would look to our characters like the Starved are being uplifted to the best hum...)

And you know what else you skip? All that sweet sweet Plunder. We Zub owners, on the other hand, can zail for days at a time with our TW reducing cards, and luxuriate in our plunder and thick Scottish accents. There’s a reason it took them an entire book to find the Red October, and its because we Zubhavers are just that good.)
