So what happened to the World Qualities system?[edit]

And is there a way to manually edit Shifting Streets, for example? Or at least make it appear as an ongoing event on the Wiki front page? I'd love to help, I just have no idea how... :( - Phryne Amarantyne (talk) 18:21, 9 July 2025 (UTC)

UPDATE: You can also manually change the |Current Value = parameter of Shifting Streets itself, and the history can be filled out by someone else manually from the edit history ^^

Shifting Streets/History can be edited manually.
You will see a number of numbers in the form [number]|xxxxxxxxxxxxxx . The xs at the end are a timestamp, representing yyyymmddhhmmss . yyyy is the year, first mm is the month (start with 0 if it's a single digit month, i.e. july is 07), dd is day (current day is 09 for example), hh is hour, second mm is minute, ss is second. All of these use the UTC timezone. The number before represents the level of the quality at that time.

For example:
The very bottom of the shifting streets/history page is as follows
455|20240617171511
173|20240617173011
<section begin="Current Value"/>0<section end="Current Value"/>|<section begin="Last Updated"/>20240617174511<section end="Last Updated"/>

In order to update this, you'd first move the values in the Current Value and Last Updated sections out, like this:
455|20240617171511
173|20240617173011
0|20240617174511
<section begin="Current Value"/><section end="Current Value"/>|<section begin="Last Updated"/><section end="Last Updated"/>

Then you'd replace those values with the updated value and timestamp. For example, let's say shifting streets is 777 as I'm writing this message. I'd input
455|20240617171511
173|20240617173011
0|20240617174511
<section begin="Current Value"/>777<section end="Current Value"/>|<section begin="Last Updated"/>20250709204300<section end="Last Updated"/>

The word on the street that I've heard is that the WQ bot used some sort of unintended API endpoint to automagically check the status of world qualities, and that got fixed/modified recently, so it needs to be rewritten to check the status of world qualifies in a different way. 67.171.158.143 21:00, 9 July 2025 (UTC)
