Recalcitrant Clay Man | The Recalcitrant Clay Man greets the crowd with such a rousing display of indifference that they are convinced he is a great sage, steeped in wisdom, residing as he does in a cave and disdaining all the things of this world. |
Studious Clay Woman | The Studious Clay Woman puts them at ease however, with a carefully prepared guided tour […] of dim tunnels that comprise the Underclay. Several of the crowd fall asleep […]. But one retired professor does offer the Clay Man his card at the tour's end. |
Mutinous Clay Man | The Mutinous Clay Man has a great many cheerful questions […] Where do the wealthy live […]? And how is that wealth extracted? And how does it travel[…]? And where do the underclass organise?[…] The crowd is thrilled to discuss […] with such an attentive stranger. |

Assisting an Unfinished Man | Description |
---|---|
Recalcitrant Clay Man | The Recalcitrant Clay Man makes matters worse when he folds his arms and refuses to contradict his fellow. "I AM AS I AM. HE IS AS HE WAS MADE. A FOOL." |
Studious Clay Woman | Worse, the Studious Clay Woman has many questions of her own. They are not polite questions. The crowd leaves in state of mortification. |
Mutinous Clay Man | The Mutinous Clay Man then ruins things entirely by lurching towards the crowd, arms aloft yelling that he will only be 'finished' when he has consumed a hundred quarts of heart's blood. The resulting stampede is regrettable. |
