Description summary:
The second and third paragraphs vary based on Seeing Banditry in the Upper River, and a fourth paragraph will be added at a certain point of the Novice Policeman storyline.

4 - 5A fire has been got running in the main entrance area. Next to it, a smokey, alcohol fuelled card game rolls onward. There are few onlookers – most are required to help quell the criminal elements of the Upper River.
6A probationary officer hands out extra scarfs to the stream of officers rushing for the exit. The Constabulary of the Evenlode is on high alert; even the off duty officers have been summoned to work.
7There is only a skeleton staff – enough to patrol the courts and to keep an eye on those already under arrest, but that's it. All available officers have been sent to deal with the criminal elements plaguing the Upper River.
