…as someone who has a fairly high-powered job, I am not sure why everyone is so surprised that rank-and-file workers don’t spend much of their time grateful for executives’ decisions, even if the executives are doing good work. Being insufficiently thanked and rewarded only in more problems to solve is pretty much part of the job description.
