i'm pretty sure this is the most detailed cat in not just fallen london but also the whole fbg canon. even the high resolution cats of sunless skies got rather impressionistic with the brushstrokes in the intricacies of the fur, as a stylistic choice. whereas this is one of those paintings which, if it was on tumblr, would get a reblog chain saying "wait, this is a painting??"
