I didn’t read it as “being worshipped” per se, more that you brainwashed the entire populace of London into adoring you, (which is actually a little like a more extreme version of Fires’ plan) and you’ve also changed into a God-Emperor of Duneesque monstrosity, none of which is quite my cup of tea. In the Regent option, sure, you’ve started a war which you are now losing, but people still have free will and stuff.
