Fair enough. I understand that there are players who enjoy a good challenge, and eventually emerging victorious despite the odds. Personally, I feel that failing a check and letting your quarry get ahead of you is already punishing enough without the counterplays, especially since you can't switch your equipment willy-nilly while the game is going on. Thankfully the seasonal Distinctions are very easy to achieve, thanks to my good friend Knuckles.
