fair enough. i'm mainly engaging with the slapfight on this particular matter because i disagree with your stances on other things even more, but i don't think i can remain quite as civil on those topics. i, personally, would find a pigeon less amusing in this particular situation. you are entirely free to see differently on this matter.

and i don't think i'm particularly smart, it's just that my high school was chronically understaffed and an incredibly early adopter of the very first AI-based automatic grading systems; in order to be able to submit my essays to be looked over by an actual teacher, they had to first pass muster according to what the really primitive AI thought a good essay looked like, and the main metric it used was apparently the amount of both fancy words and intricate sentence structure. semicolons, especially, seemed to be the key to success. unfortunately, my writing style never really recovered from this. my apologies.
