I disagree. What's happening is that the phrasing is cleverly chosen to be overloaded with meanings. Diegetically, it's an instruction to meditate on the metaphysics of numerology. The significance of numerology is repeated a few times throughout the Discordance. The same words have a different meaning to the player than to the character, where our awareness of gameplay abstractions lets us interpret another meaning. The player's acting on the one meaning of the instructions is how the character acts on the other meaning of the instructions.

The Steward is breaking the fourth wall here, and there's a valid question of whether she's aware of that or not. But I don't see evidence in this text that anyone else could be diegetically aware of gameplay abstractions.
