The Answer to a Ten Year Old Query

Older players of Fallen London most likely have forgotten how, long before the completion of their ambitions, before the Railroad, perhaps even before AK left, they had to navigate the Fifth City by slowly unlocking pieces of the map. Everything felt so new and exotic, and every new district was a cause for further exploration. Eventually, that feeling went away, and places like Veilgarden and the Flit and the Labyrinth of Tigers became old territories. But it was still deep and dark and marvelous just the same. We forget the mystery of why it's so hard to get anywhere in Fallen London.

Now, a decade later, we come across the answer to a question we all had asked and left lingering in the air for so long.
