I also find it ironic that the second best Shadowy Affliation (A Stalking Stone Shadow Beyond the Glass) requires a much longer grind (a fair bit of parabolan hunting, plus having the Railway) than the BIS Shadow Affliation (An Initiate into the Perfumer's Arts), which just requires you to find Viric Jungle (get lucky during Parabolan hunting; you dont even have to finish the hunt) and get lucky in Waswood.

To add insult to injury, Initiate also has a better Dreaded bonus. All the Stalking Stone Shadow does is give you KT instead of Mithridacy

Also, I should note that both of these items are obtained at the same cycle (Prelapsarian Exhibition).
