But in one of the BaL endings, you find out that Veils was using the Society of the Three-Fingered Hand to foment a world war over becoming the Sixth City, so it's entirely possible that WW1 still happens but for different reasons, and also possible that Germany still gets screwed over by the end and Hitler still uses that to rise to power and do his bad things. Or maybe in this universe he got his hands on a pot of Prisoner’s Honey and became a decent artist who could get into art school and never did all that genocide and stuff.
