A Little Observation

It has nothing to do with this article of the wiki, but I wanted to mention something. I’ve noticed a lot of the people on this wiki seem to get really mad at suboptimal play and especially suboptimal Opportunity Cards. It feels like it misses the point of Fallen London: roleplaying. This is a text-based rpg, where you are meant to be living the life of a Fallen Londoner. A Fallen Londoner’s life is not optimal! It is not ideal! But it is lived that way nonetheless! It may bear countless imperfections, but each card reflects a tiny piece in the story of your Londoner. Some may not be worth your time, but how many times have you done something that wasn’t worth your time? And how many times have you had to do that same thing that you knew wasn’t worth the effort, because it was simply what happened? Anyway, this wasn’t even to complain about such a playstyle. You can play as you want, and if you wanna minmax, that’s fine. Just seems a waste to me, is all.
