Great changes!
I have a question about the effects list. Since you're going to use a module for processing it anyway, wouldn't it be possible to grab the effects themselves from Module:ItemList as well? So instead of having to add them both to the item pages and the ItemList you'd only have to add them one place, with a redirect there if it doesn't have an entry.
