You are at first presented with two options: Demand to know what's going on, and Fight your way free and run! Choosing either option will set the relevant quality to 25 and unlock additional options, but the first option can only be played at quality 20. So if you don't demand to know what's going on at first, you aren't actually given a straight answer on what this creature wants from you and what it plans to do. You can only ask adjacent questions. That seems like kind of a writing oversight to me - I decided to try running first, and then I was only able to ask questions like "will this hurt" (will WHAT hurt?), "what will I get in return" (in return for WHAT?), etc. I was somewhat confused. Luckily, this wiki has description summaries to let me know what I missed.
