Variation?

I think the second paragraph is variable based on something, perhaps A Worker in the Common Cause. I got this at 1:

"Perhaps you generally take the largest house you can, and maybe you stay away from the more humiliating tasks. But these are tourists! They don't need to know that. And if they did know it, they would still not expect anything else from one of your regal associations."
