The Bazaar is all over the place in this game, but it does seem to be a matter of familiarity. While the attraction thing is generally true, there's also the <a href="/wiki/A_Final_Choice_of_Allegiance" title="A Final Choice of Allegiance">Bazaar's children</a>, where the Bazaar is referred to as a lot of things, including "father" and "parent." But the Bazaar gets referred to as "she" in a lot in the game (<a href="/wiki/Penstock%27s_Wicket" title="Penstock's Wicket">Penstock</a> being a prime example) and it's likely that was done for simplicity.
