Adornments used to not exist. This wouldn't make sense as a Hat, or a Clothing, or a Home Comfort, or an Affiliation. Gloves also are weird but they're kinda... the closest option? Anyways, once adornments were introduced, the ring you can buy is much more of an adornment than the flower from hell is, and they both give aotrs, so it'd be rather rude to move them both into the same slot.
