This whole thread is irredeemably stupid. Everyone here has been hit over the head with the stupid stick. Almost as stupid as Failbetter is for knee-jerk nerfing an actually fun and engaging grind that relied on clever use of endgame items that wasn't even remotely overpowered, and not remotely close to as stupid as the miserably poor in-universe excuse they wrote for why this of all things would drive the player to insanity.
