Noonday blues

They regard the crowds with measured contempt. Despite their finery and ostentatious luggage, they seem more like monitors than competitors: are there White-and-Golds among their number? An Irascible Architect is drawn into a debate with a London wag on the direction the delegation should be heading, and can be heard lamenting the labyrinthine nature of the Fifth. The rest of the delegation is more reserved, directing attendants and preparing to make for their lodgings.

It soon becomes apparent that more than one Clan is represented: the blue and green of the Tortoise can be glimpsed amidst the banners. The balance is clearly in the Eagle's favour, however – as an Aquiline Assistant is keen to impress on those who comment out loud.
