Poisoner's Progress lower?

Action purge is not allowed on comment pages.
With 3 Accomplices, 6 Tolerance and no Ace of Kings I'm only getting 1 CP of Poisoner's Progress on success. I also have the Embalmer's Mark but that only affects difficulty, not outcome right?
