Levels

1-18: A slow, creeping haunting

19+: The stairs will not leave you now

Culmination

When you reach The Burial of the Dead 15, you can draw a card that can set Haunted by Stairs to 19, different from the gradual increase earlier. This is the first level that has a change description: "THE STAIRS HAVE YOU NOW". After this, when you reach The Burial of the Dead 18 you begin to draw a card that is also named Haunted by Stairs. This begins the Transformed by Stairs storyline.
