Template:Faction/doc

This Template is used to automatically format Faction pages and add a few things to them.

Automation

This Templates automatically adds these items: Favours/Renown or Connected (depending on the switch, see next section and Closest To). It also transcludes the Notable Sources page; if no such page is found it will instead generate a redlink prompting users to make such an page. Please use that link to ensure that the right name is used for the page.

The Really Important Parameters

There are two parameters that are really important to add:

Connected

|Connected = , acts as an behavioral switch for the Template. If set to |Connected = yes it will change its behavior from the usual Favours/Renown system to the Connected system. This adds an wiki note about Connections and deprecates the following parameters: Renown Item 10. Renown Item 25 and Renown Item 40

Description

|Description = [your description], is used to add the Faction's description. This description should be pulled (in descending order) from: The Factions opportunity card, the description of the connected quality (for Connected Factions) or a good Sidebar Snippet.

Associated items

|Card = , is meant for adding an factions opportunity card. If no such card exists don't use it. (note that you will need to provide the link; it should look like [[Card Name]] |Faction Item = , is used to add the factions Item, by which we mean the Item used to trade in favours for Renown. Its usage is the same as |Card. |Pet = , is for the factions pet, ie a companion gained using from A Clandestine Rendezvous which gives that factions favours.

Conflict Cards

|Conflict1, |Conflict2 and |Conflict3 are used to add Conflict Cards associated with the Faction. All conflict cards can be found at Category: Conflict Cards.

Renown Items

Renown Items can be added using |Renown Item 10, |Renown Item 25 and |Renown Item 40. Please use {{IL}} links for the Renown Items.
