Level Decrease Descriptions
- To 0 or 1: The last of your Attar spills from your eyes in a thin, desolate trickle.
- To 2 or 3: A wodge of reddest Attar dislodges itself from your eyes.
- To 4 or 5: You rub your eyes; Attar falls away. You weep red dust.
- To 7+: A trickle of Attar falls from your eyes.

Every storylet in 
Arbor, of the Roses has a passage that describes the level of Attar that the player character has remaining.

|---|---|
| 5+ | Attar obscures your vision. Near Arbor is hazy and far away. When you close your eyes, you can make out another city, grander and more beautiful. |
| 4 | You rub your eyes and your fingers come up red. Attar rings your eyes like kohl. |
| 3 | Your lashes are clogged with perfumed dust: you have collected much Attar. |
| 1 - 2 | Attar has found its way into your lashes. |
| 0 | The last of your Attar spills from your eyes in a thin, desolate trickle. |
