There's another use for the glim carapace as a skeleton - lizards can be declared with zero legs. However this is only useful when the Disingenuous Malacologist is visiting during a week when reptiles are in vogue. I know it's rather particular, but 8 tentacles gets more research than 6 without raising exhaustion.
