Cross-conversion on the Item Conversions table?[edit]

I noticed that the Item Conversions table used to be arranged in a way that it showed both conversions within each category and the order of cross-converting, but it was removed by an anonymous user (then reverted, then removed again) with the note "Alphabetical Order is more important for quickly finding a conversion category than the T3 carousel".

I disagree, I'd find the cross-conversion carousel more useful, and it's outright information *lost* from the reference chart, vs convenience of finding things more quickly. However, I don't want to just revert it and get into an edit war, especially as I'm new to the wiki (and the game) and don't know if there's some compelling reason to go with one version or another besides "this user thinks alphabetical order is more important, another user thinks cross-conversion is more important". So, is there any kind of guideline for what the priority should be, or resolving disagreements like this?

Personally, I'd agree that the T3 carousel is more handy to see (note that the carousel is also visible on every T3 item's page) but it's true that it's a general guide of items, so having it like the game by default seems more natural. Buuut we can just have both things! :D I tweaked it so you can sort by the T3 column and it'll match the carousel order! Also made the success results thing collapsed by default (see the nice white button) 'cuz to me it felt like too much info at one place, making the table harder to navigate at a glance but it could be useful to others.

There's not special guideline for disagreements, just how you'd normally handle them in real life. Try to come to an agreement, ask others (Wiki Discord has many editors) etc. If each option seem reasonable, including both can usually be a nice solution. CarrONoir (talk) 14:25, 29 May 2024 (UTC)
Wow, thank you so much! I didn't know that was an option, it's much better than only having one or the other. AuthorX (talk) 16:07, 29 May 2024 (UTC)
