Worst-in-slot info being calculated incorrectly somehow[edit]

On the Plated Seal page, it says that the item is shared worst-in-slot for shadowy. But it only gives a -1, and as someone on the page commented, that can't possibly be worst in slot, because there are many other companions that give even greater penalties. I assumed that the text was added manually at some point and it became outdated but no one removed it; however, the text doesn't actually appear on the page when I go into edit. Whatever wiki magic thing that's calculating and comparing stat bonuses or penalties is incorrectly determining the worst-in-slot status. How does one go about fixing this? - KelpTheGreat (talk) 03:36, 27 September 2024 (UTC)

The code that does those comparisons is in Module:Item, written in Lua. It's probably one of those silly things like a sign error, or Drummer forbid a string vs number thingy. PSGarak (talk) 15:40, 27 September 2024 (UTC)
Well, I don't know Lua, and I don't know who Drummer is, but how would you fix this? Do I submit a bug report somewhere, like the Discord maybe, or what? KelpTheGreat (talk) 19:15, 27 September 2024 (UTC)
I don't think there's a formal ticket system. This forum thread is enough, or a comment on the relevant article. In practice there's a few of us that watch RecentChanges and will notice all the comments. It's just a matter of someone finding time. This one will probably take some time.

You'll meet the Drummer somewhere along the Railway. He's cool. We hang out sometimes. He's in a band. PSGarak (talk) 20:02, 27 September 2024 (UTC)
It's fixed! This actually happened before (it's just an oversight, a sign being the wrong way) but the fix was among the (currently) lost revisions after the big crash in July 2023. I see it was pointed out not long after in comments but those can sometimes slip under the radar. If you need some kind of counsel on something the Forum or Discord are more reliable.
Also, @PSGarak, Module:Item is retired (I've put up a notice now), it's all in Module:ItemEffects now. CarrONoir (talk) 21:07, 27 September 2024 (UTC)
I feel like you've told me that before and I keep losing track of which one isn't active. Thank you for adding the notice.
I feel you on the subtle missing bugfixes, I had one go missing too and it took me some time to figure out what it was. PSGarak (talk) 02:13, 28 September 2024 (UTC)
