Description summary:
The clerk records the general details of your triumph. Then, in another room, you speak to a woman from the Tragedy Commission. She explains that the Department does not have four million echoes—in fact, it never did. The reward has been outstanding for years, and the portion previously held by the Department has since been used. The rest of the money was to be paid by the Bazaar on behalf of Mr Veils. (She clearly knows just what Veils was, and why it offered the reward.) Of course, with Veils dead, actually extracting payment is complicated. You will receive the reward as soon as the Commissioner can finish arrangements. She also recommends a taxidermist for the Head.
