It's quite amazing what can land in your lap in Fallen London. A forgotten diamond, for instance. A fanged mushroom. An oddly helpful rodent. Admittedly, all opportunities are not created equal.

Game Instructions: The Opportunity Deck provides some of Fallen London's more uncommon options. Many stories begin or advance through the deck, and the options there can often be more rewarding than regularly available ones. Your deck can hold 6 cards – 10 for subscribers – which gradually replenish. Your current lodgings determines the number of cards you can hold in your hand while in London.

The contents of your Opportunity Deck will vary as you play and your character changes. You can find the Opportunity Deck in most areas, though the cards available may vary based on your location.
