When confronted with a cosy box, no cat can resist curling up inside it. The task for now, then, is working out what lamp-cats find cosy.

All you need to do is set the boxes down [...], walk away, and feign disinterest. Soon enough, the tide-pools are thrumming with the contented burble of purring lamp-cats. [...]



The lamp-cats [...] make a great show of not curling up in your boxes.

In the end, their performance of independence costs them almost as much time as curling up might have done. Almost, but not quite – and they are very smug about this indeed.
