Game Instructions: Effecting your escape will require you to succeed at several challenges. Your chance of succeeding at a challenge depends on your level in the relevant quality. Challenges will improve your skills, even if you fail. The harder the challenge is for you, the more your skills will increase. Most challenges in Fallen London give you the opportunity to try again.
You can view all your qualities, including your skills, on the Myself tab. On desktop, look above the story content. On mobile, tap the head on the bottom left of the screen. Particularly important qualities will be visible in the sidebar.
