Forum:I got three earnest payments
For the last three days I've been getting An Earnest of Payment. I changed my profession to Trickster four days ago and since then the payments keep coming. I get the payments with the regular messages and menace reductions. Something similar, though not three days straight, happened when I changed starting professions in the past. Sometimes I would get a payment twice a week, but if I changed profession on the day of one of the payments I would only get one payment next but with three messages and menace reductions.
Is this normal? Does it happen to you too?

So it is normal. Is there a pattern to it? Something that we can add to the professions' payment page?

I'm pretty sure it's a bug (so, not normal). The weekly payments are something like living stories in a loop, and due to the bug you get more than one loops going at a time, or something. I got my first payment on May 10 (four weeks ago), I've had five different professions (so, changed them four times) and I've gotten ten payments (or at least the notifications, I'm looking this up from my email inbox) in total. --DrinkKryptonitetalk 00:46, June 8, 2013 (UTC)

I've had this happen on an alt, too. The living message mechanic bugs up when you switch Professions. Alexis said it should resolve itself next week after this week's Earnests of Payment cycle out.

I had it happen this week again. The new cycle removes (possibly) the multiple Earnest Payments, but Professional Perks are still as bountiful as before (as long as they don't reach 4). I've reported this.
