Success

A dizzying number of sides

Description summary:
September shares his opinion of the current Leader of the Tracklayers.

LeaderDescription
Furnace"Her head's still in the kettle if you ask me," he says. "Furnace wilnae look much outside the walls of this city.[…]

"But there's some would like tae see her play on a larger board[…] Talk o' offering her the name of March, aye? But it'll come tae nowt."

Cornelius"Och," he says. "Cornelius will give ye a headache if ye don't have a care, and I've got a fair stomach for a long sermon. But his do go on, and half the sentences dinnae follow from the other half."
Fires' Lackey"Waste of time and air," he says curtly. "He's too sharp tae say anything that might be a help, and he'll go back tae Fires with anything I say. We talked o' golf in the main. Oh, and he passed comment on my beard."
Your Lackey"Ye keep him on a leash, d'ye not? [...] He seems loyal enough [...] but I dinnae know what you're at, not letting the Tracklayers have a leader with their own mind. Unless ye mean tae keep us all in line, and in that case I dinnae know why ye put me where I am."
January[…] "She's one of the better ones […] but I dinnae know where the present state of things will take her. She's nae had so free a hand before […] Best ye remind her she's got a city tae look after, and she cannae put her whole eye on planning the next explosion."

Failure

The Tracklayers know what they think

No one who goes by the title of Castellan is exactly Union-minded, are they? Stands to reason. If you have one castle, you want more. No persuasions to the contrary have any effect.
