This template is used to diplay information on an in-game Item.

Parameters

General

  • Icon - The filename for the item's icon. Should include the extension (usually .png), but no Mediawiki File: prefix.
  • Description - The Item's description.
  • Fate - Optional. Put "yes" if this item can only be acquired by spending Fate (directly or indirectly).
  • Item Type - Item category (e.g. "Hat", "Home Comfort", "Nostalgia", etc.)
  • ID is the numerical ID associated with the item.
  • Wiki Note - For adding notes by wiki editors.
  • Economy - Adds the infobox with other items of the same type. Should be used for "commodity" items but not quest-type items. Should be the name of the Infobox template. Special values "Auto" infers from Item Type, and "Cross" also adds cross-conversion infobox.
  • Effects1–EffectsX - Allow you to list effects when equipping this item (e.g. "{{IL|Watchful}} +4"). Please start with Effect1 for the first effect and keep them in order.

Acquiring the item

  • Access - Optional description for items that cannot be obtained through regular gameplay. Possible values are Fate, for Fate-locked items; Festival, for items from time-limited events; Legacy, for items that are now Fate-locked but could once be obtained for free; Retired, for no-longer-obtainable items; Code, for items only obtained through access codes; Location, for items only possessed in a limited location; Failbetter Games, for items only distributed by the developers; Developer, for items only possessed by developers themselves.
    • Access info - Optional link to more specific info on how the item might be obtained, such as the Guide page for a Festival.
      • Origin - Optional link for Seasonal items, to record their event of origin (usually the festival's historical page) for archival purposes, if it's different then the current Access info. Most prominent for Summer festivals which merge multiple events occupying the same time-period.

At the Echo Bazaar

  • Buying/Selling - Optional buy/sell price at the Bazaar, in echoes (E ) (e.g. "4/1.5" if you can buy this for 4 echoes, an sell for 1.5. Use "-" if this item can't be sold (e.g. "4/-"), and "-/-" if it can be neither sold nor bought.)
  • Shop - Optional name of the Bazaar shop in which this can be bought (e.g. Carrow's Steel).
  • Buy Message - Optional message displayed when buying the item.
  • Sell Message - Optional message displayed when selling the item.

At the Upper River Exchange

  • Upper Buying/Selling - Optional buy/sell price at the Upper River Exchange, in Hinterland Scrip ( ) (e.g. "4/2" if you can buy this for 4 scrip, an sell for 2. Use "-" if this item can't be sold (e.g. "4/-"), and "-/-" if it can be neither sold nor bought.)
  • Upper Shop - Optional name of the Upper Market shop in which this can be bought (e.g. Brass Thistle).
  • Upper Buy Message - Optional message displayed when buying the item.
  • Upper Sell Message - Optional message displayed when selling the item.
  • Upper Buy Currency - Optional alternative currency to Hinterland Scrip (e.g. "Echoes").
  • Upper Sell Currency - Optional alternative currency to Hinterland Scrip (e.g. "Echoes").

At the Rat Market

  • Rat Buying/Selling - Optional buy price at the Rat market, in Rat-Shilling (e.g. "4/2" if you can buy this for 4 coinage, an sell for 2. Use "-" if this item can't be sold (e.g. "4/-"), and "-/-" if it can be neither sold nor bought.)
  • Rat Shop - Optional name of the Rat market shop in which this can be bought (e.g. Crow-Crease Cryptics)
  • Rat Buy Message- Optional message displayed when buying the item.
  • Rat Sell Message- Optional message displayed when selling the item.

At the Khaganian Markets

  • Khanate Buying/Selling - Optional buy/sell price at the Khaganian Markets, in Assortment of Khaganian Coinage ( ) (e.g. "4/2" if you can buy this for 4 coinage, an sell for 2. Use "-" if this item can't be sold (e.g. "4/-"), and "-/-" if it can be neither sold nor bought.)
  • Khanate Shop - Optional name of the Khaganian Markets shop in which this can be bought (e.g. Midnight Market).
  • Khanate Buy Message - Optional message displayed when buying the item.
  • Khanate Sell Message - Optional message displayed when selling the item.
  • Khanate Buy Currency - Optional alternative currency to Khaganian Coinage (e.g. "Moon-Pearl").
  • Khanate Sell Currency - Optional alternative currency to Khaganian Coinage (e.g. "Moon-Pearl").

When usable as a Skeleton part

  • Bone Top Note - A simple line of text above the table. Free-form text.
  • Bone Type - Type of the part when added to a skeleton. Possible values: Torso, Skull, Arm, Leg, Wing, Fin, Tentacle, Tail
  • Bone Value - Approximate Value of Your Skeleton in Pennies added by attaching the item.
  • Bone Access - Optional access info for the item. Free-form text, like {{FontFate}}.
  • Bone Challenge Quality - Optional, the quality used by the challenge of adding the item. Use IL please!
  • Bone Challenge Diff - Optional, the base difficulty of the challenge. If it can change, mention it in ChallengeNote.
  • Bone Challenge Note - Optional info for the challenge. Free-form text.
  • Bone Skulls Needed - Optional, Skeleton: Skulls Needed for torsos.
  • Bone Limbs Needed - Optional, Skeleton: Limbs Needed for torsos.
  • Bone Tails Needed - Optional, Skeleton: Tails Needed for torsos.
  • Bone Amalgamy - Optional, Amalgamy quality added by item. If depending on the challenge, use “x-y”, where x is the failure number, and y is the success. (eg. 0-2)
  • Bone Antiquity - See Bone Amalgamy.
  • Bone Menace - See Bone Amalgamy.
  • Bone SupportCc - See Bone Amalgamy.
  • Bone Implausibility - See Bone Amalgamy.
  • Bone Segments - Optional, Skeleton: Number of Segments quality added by item. Currently only used by Segmented Ribcage.
  • Bone Exhaustion - See Bone Amalgamy.
  • Bone Note - Optional notes.
  • Bone MaxWidth - Optional (default: 320px). When set, changes the max width property of the table.
