I'm going to write a page called Optimize Opportunity Deck(Guide).

This guide is incomplete. You can help by expanding it.
What needs work: information about mid and later PoSI

Introduction[edit]

Most favours are sourced from drawing cards, so more favours come with more cards which yield favours. That's why the opportunity deck in Fallen London should be managed. Here are some suggestions on how to optimize your deck to gain more favors.

cards with favours[edit]

Item[edit]

Some items unlock cards with favours and should be gained as soon as possible. Here are some relatively easy-to-obtain items, listed in order of game progression and acquisition difficulty.

See Opportunity Items (Guide) for more information.

Attributes[edit]

Some cards with favours only appear when your attributes are in a specific range. So have a specific outfit when drawing. The recommended attributes when drawing are orderly Watchful 69-80 or 0-68 or >190, Persuasive 28-68 or >200, Shadowy 28-44 or >190, Dangerous >118.

Storylet[edit]

Some storylets in specific progress unlock cards with favours. Keep them.

cards without favours[edit]

Item[edit]

Some items only unlock cards without favours and should be avoided to optimize the opportunity deck. Of course, if it's very profitable, like lodgings which allow 4 opportunity cards in hand, you don't want miss them just for a little favour.

See Opportunity Items (Guide) for more information.

Menaces[edit]

It's always good to keep menaces low.

Attributes[edit]

Some cards without favours only appear when your attributes are in a specific range. But in most cases, they are hard to avoid. Here are some non profitable ones for reference only.

Storylet[edit]

Some storylets go through cards. Finish them so that you can get rid of them. Here are some examples.

some cards that can't be dealt with[edit]

You know, some less profitable cards are just there no matter how hard you try. Even they can be locked theoretically, the conditions are still too hard or just impossible to fulfill.
