Early PoSI Content and Onwards

The Candlefinder Society is a series of short detective stories, some of which are available to players freshly in the mid-game, some of which require far higher stats. As the stories are relatively straightforward, this guide will mainly provide a mechanical overview of the cases.

To unlock the stories, you need to meet the following requirements:

• A Name in Seven Secret Alphabets 7 (i.e. have completed Watchful MYN),
• A Name Whispered in Darkness 7 (i.e. have completed Shadowy MYN),
• Unmodified Watchful 90 (i.e. without bonuses from equipped items).

Once you meet all of these, you will be able to immediately draw An Impromptu Invitation. From there, you will be redirected to Meeting with the Candlefinder Society, a storylet in Veilgarden where you'll be able to begin a case.

Rewards

The first time you complete each case, you will receive a significant reward:

• The Case of the Missing Comb:
  • First time: 1 x Captivating Ballad, 5 x Magnificent Diamond, 6 x Blackmail Material, and 3,350 x Drop of Prisoner's Honey, for a total of 267 in sellables.
  • Replay: 2 x Direful Reflection, 4 x Extraordinary Implication, 227 x Appalling Secret, 227 x Maniac's Prayer, 227 x Cryptic Clue, and 227 x Whispered Hint, for a total of 98.56 in sellables.
• The Case of the Dead Puppet:
  • First time: 1 x Mortification of a Great Power, 7 x Antique Mystery, 7 x Direful Reflection, 500 x Romantic Notion, and 4,675 x Cryptic Clue, for a total of about 381 in mostly-sellable items.
• FATE The Case of the Empty Belfry:
  • First time: 1 x Night-Whisper, 6 x Storm-Threnody, 5 x Blackmail Material, 50 x Mystery of the Elder Continent, and 1,850 x Drop of Prisoner's Honey, for a total of 262 in sellables.
