  • 21:09, 20 June 2024 67.171.158.143 talk commented on the article Lyon Pursuivant of Arms Extraordinary (In the words of Jennifer Streck writing for Hewlett Packard Enterprise Community: "When it comes to Digital Experiences, be a cat". I am glad Fallen London allows this advice to be manifest in a substantially more literal manner than mayhaps originally intended.)
  • 21:07, 20 June 2024 67.171.158.143 talk replied to a comment on the article Marriage (Guide) (it all goes back to TLC eventually, though, because TLC is the best Dubious Testimony grind if one is grinding in sufficient ridiculous bulk to amortize the Consequences. this probably lowers your action count by... a little bit. which is worth taking into account!)
  • 16:52, 20 June 2024 ApocyanStreets talk contribs replied to a comment on the article Hinterland Prosperity (In my experience this is only efficient for scrips if you purchase one of the vignette with your suitable skills. Otherwise TLU city is just better for echoes grinding.)
  • 16:18, 20 June 2024 121.7.171.107 talk commented on the article Hinterland Prosperity (How efficient is using this to make Scrips, when the cards in Tracklayer City are non-discardable and it might take many actions for the item exchange card to show up? A basic Hellworm needs 200k Scrips. A Vital Intelligence yields 25 Scrips.)
  • 13:35, 20 June 2024 Reaperfromtheabyss talk contribs replied to a comment on the article For All the Saints Who From Their Labours Rest (seems to be able to increase Bohemian renown as well, likely Church renown is another possible outcome depending on the Deacon's ending)
  • 13:18, 20 June 2024 186.27.236.152 talk replied to a comment on the article Vestige of a Starlit Reverie (Which means that having this item is kind of a mark shame by keeping the Baazar living in a bubble of lies And I guess some players may be into that)
  • 13:15, 20 June 2024 186.27.236.152 talk commented on the article Vestige of a Starlit Reverie (Meanwhile you can still get SLA on Christmas With that said the Baazar has to know that the Sun is a dummy that is not worth simping for and understand why their boss is single)
  • 08:56, 20 June 2024 OuroborusInc talk contribs replied to a comment on the article Marriage (Guide) (I don't think Tracklayer's City a viable method, unfortunately - I think under the best possible circumstances (minimal deck of 12 standard and 1 rare cards) you have about a 1/9 chance of drawing Imports and Exportsm so you'll get about 1 document every 9 actions. However, looking at the Legal Grinding (Guide), I realise this page really needs updating to account for barristering at Evenlode - if you get dubious testimony from Enter the house (White), that's 3.2 actions getting enoug...)
  • 05:26, 20 June 2024 67.171.158.143 talk commented on the article Knotted Humerus (wait is irem the best grind for these)
  • 03:07, 20 June 2024 67.171.158.143 talk replied to a comment on the article Purchase wine at cut-rate prices (it's also probably the most bulkable/incidental first sporing grind; one doesn't need *a lot* of the stuff but not needing to grind when sacksmas swings around sounds useful)
  • 02:49, 20 June 2024 70.178.29.160 talk commented on the article Stopping Along the Coast (By Gawain's gizzard, I guess having a 6.5 EPA of beetles for 1 action was too much, so they had to go and slash it down to 1.3 EPA for 5 actions. What a big fat waste of a storylet. Never do this.)
  • 01:47, 20 June 2024 Jimwormmaster talk contribs commented on the article Purchase wine at cut-rate prices (Honestly, even if the echo gain isn't fantastic, it's still probably a pretty easy way to gain cellars of wine, for things such as presumptuous opportunities. Combined with underclay farming, it's probably quicker than laying down cellars in the Sidestreets, I'd imagine (but mind you, I haven't done the math).)
  • 01:45, 20 June 2024 Dirtytabs talk contribs commented on the article Purchase a cabin trunk (5 Strong-Backed Labour and 2 Use of Villains? Does this business always on the verge of failing need more employees?)
  • 01:26, 20 June 2024 Jimwormmaster talk contribs replied to a comment on the article Hinterland Scrip-Making (True, though I mean, you get the fin bones collected from dissecting sharks, then the question is just whether to use them as is, or combine them into amber fins first for a greater value.)
  • 00:31, 20 June 2024 JmeJuniper talk contribs replied to a comment on the article Pilgrimages in Godfall (Guide) (Thank you for pointing this out! It looks like there was an update to a lot of pilgrimage challenge difficulties that flew under the radar. They should all be fixed now)
  • 21:02, 19 June 2024 166.181.80.137 talk commented on the article Propose a daringly-built station in brass and rose, tribute to Hell (i saw this option with an alt and it showed different text? i also have 34 hellfarer, which is probably why its different. it reads (before success text): "Propose a daringly-built station in brass and rose, tribute to Hell Live up to the epithet of Hellfarer. You have always been on your way here.")
  • 20:48, 19 June 2024 67.171.158.143 talk commented on the article Gamble for silver! (Poundd in the Ass by the Metaphorical and Disembodied Abstract Concept of Luck)
  • 20:35, 19 June 2024 67.171.158.143 talk commented on the article Close your eyes and contemplate no madness (It's just a simple chaos.)

  • 14:12, 19 June 2024 89.214.149.133 talk commented on the article Money-Making/Lategame (Crackling Devices are no longer sellable in the Rat Market, and will not return there, per FBG. That whole part needs to be removed.)
  • 09:04, 19 June 2024 67.171.158.143 talk replied to a comment on the article Victory and Defeat (you seem to rather often not be having any fun engaging with failbetter's more recent content. might i, mayhaps, recommend that one finds a pursuit one is likely to more consistently enjoy? unless grousing on a wiki comments section is said pursuit, in which case please don't let me stop you)
  • 07:05, 19 June 2024 49.245.29.100 talk commented on the article Victory and Defeat (I feel that failbetter had taken word play a step too far here. Every card's every option I need to look at the wiki to see if it raise or lowers goat vs goat. The text on the cards are useless. Does it benefits the first circle or the second, who knows! If a luck challenge is favourable, does it benefits the first circle or the second, who knows? In a game where reading the story is the primary reward, text on the cards are useless. I have no idea how the designers come up with such a shit...)

  • 18:21, 18 June 2024 191.156.55.201 talk replied to a comment on the article Ribcage with a Bouquet of Eight Spines (If you take advantage of zoomania bonuses it's even better. Making a bird out of one of these bad boys is relatively easy, meaning the effective value of this ribcage is more like 343.75E not counting bonuses from secondary skeleton attributes (which can be made quite hefty with 8 skull slots). To be fair we should apply the same logic to the seven-necked ribcage which is worth 68.75 with zoomania. The net profit of this action is thus 37.5E, ignoring zoomania on the thorned ribcage. Plus i...)

  • 10:19, 18 June 2024 Pmyteh talk contribs commented on the article The City of the Tracklayers/Name (An alt has created an Emancipationist-Liberationist city on the body of Starved Furnace. The name is 'Ealing Graft'. Are we sure that all the cells of the second table have been checked? And if so might this be a new change? (FWIW my alt's purpose is to move and re-ideate their city in order to fill in gaps in the Hinterland City - Foundation table, so I should be and able to check the rest of the Starved column at least in due course).)

  • 08:41, 18 June 2024 67.171.158.143 talk replied to a comment on the article Visit the street market (7 is the number of the funny fleentstones bootleg software. coincidence? probably.)
  • 08:36, 18 June 2024 67.171.158.143 talk replied to a comment on the article Hinterland Prosperity (the practical thing which makes it not a currency is that buying and selling with it is tied to cards and not, like, a market. also, the difficulty of converting other stores of value into it. (but the joke the anon was making was that, especially in a liberationist city, it really feels like it's another flavor of {{IL|No Currency}}))
  • 08:31, 18 June 2024 67.171.158.143 talk commented on the article Offer yourself (this is more of a mood than it feels like it should be. i, too, feel like the hollowed-out remnants of what was once a person, animated by forces beyond my understanding into some vague semblance of life, just-barely-convincingly enough that nobody ever bothers to look further into it. maybe Candles once felt the same way. maybe this is one final act of reshaping oneself in his image, filtered through what was once his domain. maybe he was haunted by the repeated intrusive thought that there...)

  • 18:50, 17 June 2024 103.77.4.57 talk commented on the article Steward of the Discordance (Interestingly, if you remove the R from discordance, you have Disco dance. 'The breaking of laws which govern sequences of organised movement' ?)
  • 18:06, 17 June 2024 35.135.85.113 talk commented on the article Loaned Out your Ratwork Velocipede (Presumably you also recover your ratwork velocipede like the other vehicles, right? Is that not listed because it's a fate-locked use?)
  • 16:48, 17 June 2024 JmeJuniper talk contribs commented on the article A remarkable piece of good fortune! (9 FATE) (According to a comment on Investigating the Big Rat, this action sets Having Rodentine Minions Investigate to 6, not Seeking the Meaning of the Plaster Face. This makes sense with its requirements, description, and the storylet it's under.)

  • 07:54, 17 June 2024 130.185.116.225 talk replied to a comment on the article Hinterland Prosperity (I think in the context of Fallen London where abstract concepts are far more concrete and tangible (potentially due to treachery, but possibly just as a game mechanic), it should technically be considered currency too. If I can wear a song in my head, hold a memory in my hand, and selling something can cause me to forget it entirely, I can spend goodwill and prosperity that exists in a populace and its leadership.)
  • 02:56, 17 June 2024 PSGarak talk contribs replied to a comment on the article Hinterland Scrip-Making (Unfortunately the number of regular fins becomes a bit of a bother. There's no great source of them. The best is probably the pinewood shark, and even that's not terribly efficient.)

  • 01:26, 17 June 2024 Intranova talk contribs replied to a comment on the article Personal Recommendation (And the only repeatable use of it is A Private Auction, which likely isn't *too* urgent for you. It astounds me that, in my old age, I've now collected twenty-three of these without even trying. Such is the life of an endgame player, I suppose.)
